W. Scott Griffies MD, DFAPA
Dr. Griffies is board certified in General Psychiatry and Psychosomatic Medicine. He is a psychoanalyst, an instructor at the New Orleans Psychoanalytic Center, a Distinguished Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association and has been selected by his peers to the registry of “Best Doctors in America”. Prior to going into private practice, he was on faculty at LSU Health Science Center for 15 years where he was an Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry. His specialty focus has been on the combination of psychotherapy and medication treatment of general psychiatric and psychosomatic conditions. His approach in therapy is primarily from an insight-oriented or psychodynamic approach while integrating the teaching of cognitive behavioral/ mind-body skills as well.
Andrew Hurley LPC, LMFT
Mr. Hurley is certified as a licensed practicing counselor and marriage and family therapist. Andrew is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with a Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Reformed Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi. He established multiple counseling facilities in underserved areas of Mississippi and served on the board of the Mississippi Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. He has been an adjunct professor in psychology for Hinds Nursing and Allied Health Center, as well as a guest lecturer in communication and conflict resolution for Reformed Theological Seminary. Andrew has training in Internal Family Systems Therapy and is pursuing licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist. He is interested in the impact of attachment and emotional learning on awareness, relationships, and development. He works with individuals, families, and couples.
Courtney Olds LPC
Ms. Olds is certified as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and as a Nationally Certified Counselor (NCC). She completed her graduate training in Contemplative Psychotherapy at Naropa University in Boulder, CO. At Naropa, she learned to integrate Western humanistic psychology with the Buddhist psychology of the meditative mind. She teaches clients mindfulness and meditation skills to help them reduce stress and anxiety. In addition, Courtney has earned Level II certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), a method widely used by military counselors to treat soldiers with post-traumatic stress. This method uses eye movements and gentle hand vibrations to treat traumatic memories and to rehearse for future successes. Courtney is also interested in Positive Psychology and has completed Advanced Training in Psy-K, a method using muscle testing to help people replace outdated negative beliefs about themselves with beliefs that create a more positive future.
Danielle Paciera LDN, RD, CCN
Licensed as a Dietitian and a Nutritionist in the state of Louisiana (LDN), Registered as a Dietitian (RD), and Certified as a Clinical Nutritionist (CCN), Danielle Paciera, LDN, RD, CCN offers a unique approach to achieving optimal health and enhanced longevity in her Integrative Nutrition Practice. With over 10 years’ experience in the field, Ms. Paciera has blended her training in traditional nutrition therapy as a Registered Dietitian with her training in functional nutrition therapy as a Certified Clinical Nutritionist to offer a blend of conventional and holistic health care that provides an effective approach to wellness. She also provides nutrition lectures and workshops throughout the greater New Orleans region regularly and has spoken nationally on the treatment of eating disorders. Ms. Paciera has been a dedicated student of yoga since 1999 and has had a devoted meditation practice since 2006. She extends experiences and knowledge gained though her studies in these areas to her work in the field of nutrition including teaching her clients the benefits of mindful eating. |
